Our Advisory Board

Our home care experts have diverse backgrounds, but one mission: to build community through the Association of Home Care Coders.

Pallavi Sheth is the sole coder and compliance manager at Englewood (N.J.) Hospital Home Health and Hospice Services. She is HCS-D-certifi ed and has developed numerous coding tools that have been published in national publications. Sheth has worked in home health for about five years, and has more than 15 years' experience with ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding for medical insurance companies. She has spoken nationally on coding matters.

Diana Kornetti has been a practicing physical therapist for more than 20 years, spending the last decade exclusively in home health. She is a participating member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Home Health, Geriatric Section. She is the co-owner/administrator of Integrity Home Health Care in Ocala, Fla. She has been an associate professor in the physical therapy assistant program at the University of Florida in the Rehabilitation Science doctoral program. She is COS-C-certified and has had her work published nationally. She has spoken at national events on therapy.

Julie Combs has worked at 11 hospitals, two community colleges, and a public health department in her almost 30-year career. Her most comprehensive experience is in the home health arena. She has been a home health nurse, a hospital-based home health referral coordinator and a home health reviewer for Palmetto GBA, the largest Medicare intermediary. She is currently the operations for Amediysis in Fredricksburg, Va, and has been an adjunct nursing instructor for an area community college. She is HCS-Dand COS-C-certified.

Trina Moore serves on the Idaho State Coding Committee as a regional coordinator in the Treasure Valley area and has been involved with IdHima's policy revisions as its past secretary. She worked for St. Alphonsus Home Health for more than 15 years, and also spent five years working in an outpatient alcohol/drug rehabilitation center. She currently is the business operations manager for for Amedisys in Boise. Moore is an RHIT, HCS-D and has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Boise State University and a Master of Arts in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University.

Therese Rode currently serves as senior coding manager for Inova-VNA Home Health in Springfield, Va. In the last 16 years, she has served as a coder/analyst, privacy liaison, and medical record manager/supervisor in the home health and acute care divisions of the Inova Health System. Prior to joining INOVA-VNA, Rode served in coding and medical record management positions for EHS Home Health Care Services (now Advocate Healthcare) in Oak Brook, Ill. She is an RHIT and HCS-D-certified. Rode is a member of AHIMA and the District of Columbia Health Information Management Association and the Association of Home Care Coders. She is also a published author.
